Sioen Industries H2 profit falls YOY

Sioen Industries NV said its normalized net income for the second half came to 51 euro cents per share, compared with 51 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €10.1 million, compared with €10.2 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue fell on an annual basis to €157.9 million from €159.8 million, and total operating expenses totaled €141.8 million, compared with €143.0 million in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income rose 30.0% on an annual basis to €11.1 million, or 56 cents per share, from €8.5 million, or 43 cents per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled €1.08 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of €1.10.

EPS rose 19.3% from 90 cents in the prior year.

Normalized net income was €21.3 million, a gain of 19.0% from €17.9 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue totaled €326.4 million, compared with €326.6 million in the prior year, and total operating expenses decreased on an annual basis to €293.6 million from €297.5 million.

The company said reported net income increased 33.9% on an annual basis to €22.6 million, or €1.14 per share, in the full year, from €16.9 million, or 85 cents per share.
