Dominion Energy Inc. Executive Vice President and CFO Mark McGettrick will retire on Jan. 1, 2019, after serving the company for 38 years.

James Chapman, senior vice president of mergers and acquisitions and treasurer will succeed McGettrick, effective Nov. 1. Chapman is also expected to retain his role as treasurer, according to an Oct. 9 release.

McGettrick will assist Chapman during the two-month transition period.
