Tokio Marine Life Insurance (Thailand) to add sales agents

Tokio Marine Life Insurance (Thailand) plans to add 500 salesagents in 2016 to increase its total sales force to 3,500 as it aims for a 26% growthin premium value, the Bangkok Post reportedApril 5, citing the company's chief marketing officer, Somphot Keitkraival.

The Tokio MarineHoldings Inc. unit is looking to raise its premium value to 5.47 billionbaht in 2016. In 2015, its premium value reached 4.33 billion baht. Sales agentscontributed 70% of the company's life insurance premiums for the period.

Somphot said the company will focus on pension policies thatoffer high returns for policyholders after retirement.

As of April 5, US$1 wasequivalent to 35.31 Thai baht.
