Handsman Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥21.81 per share, a gain of 38.3% from ¥15.78 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥331.3 million, an increase of 40.2% from ¥236.3 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 4.4% from 3.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to ¥7.60 billion from ¥7.35 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to ¥7.25 billion from ¥7.15 billion.
Reported net income rose 45.0% from the prior-year period to ¥332.0 million, or ¥21.86 per share, from ¥229.0 million, or ¥15.29 per share.
As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.90.
