McColl's Retail Group PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended May 31 was 5 Great British pence per share, a gain from 2 pence per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £5.1 million, a gain from £1.4 million in the prior-year period.
Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to £459.3 million from £444.2 million, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to £449.6 million from £434.1 million.
Reported net income came to £5.9 million, or 6 pence per share, compared to a loss of £3.6 million, or a loss of 4 pence per share, in the prior-year period.
