Three-A Resources Bhd. said its normalized net income for the second quarter amounted to 2 Malaysian sen per share, an increase of 30.0% from 1 sen per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 8.1 million ringgits, an increase of 30.0% from 6.2 million ringgits in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 8.3% from 6.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew year over year to 96.9 million ringgits from 92.7 million ringgits, and total operating expenses totaled 81.7 million ringgits, compared with 81.1 million ringgits in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income increased 30.6% from the prior-year period to 9.1 million ringgits, or 2 sen per share, from 7.0 million ringgits, or 1 sen per share.
As of Aug. 19, US$1 was equivalent to 4.02 ringgits.
