Under Armour Inc. on July 2 disclosed new leadership appointments for its regional operations in a bid to support the global growth of the Under Armour brand.
The Baltimore-based apparel retailer named Jason Archer, former vice president and managing director of the company's Latin America division, as the new managing director for Asia Pacific, and Manuel Ovalle as the new managing director for Latin America.
Both Archer and Ovalle previously held roles in adidas AG's Latin America business.
In addition, Under Armour appointed former Oberalp SpA CEO Massimo Baratto, who joined Under Armour in May, as managing director for the company's Europe, Middle East and Africa operations. It also named Jason LaRose, who led Under Armour's largest regional businesses in the U.S. and Canada, as president of its North America business.
All four regional heads will report directly to Under Armour President and COO Patrik Frisk.
Meanwhile, the retailer said Erick Haskell, managing director of its Greater China business, will leave the company later this month to pursue a new opportunity.
In the same release, the company said that its Hong Kong office will be expanded to serve as its Asia-Pacific headquarters.
