GEO Group Inc. secured a federal contract for 780 beds at its existing Folkston, Ga., facility.
The company expects to pull in roughly $21 million in incremental annualized revenues from the new contract with U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement. Under a five-year intergovernmental service agreement between ICE and Charlton County, the facility will start housing immigration detainees in the first quarter 2017.
The facility, which sits next to GEO's D. Ray James facility, will be called the Folkston ICE Processing Center.
