As expected, Amazon.com Inc. has made its Prime Video service available in more than 200 countries and territories, according to a Dec. 14 news release.
The video-on-demand service offers new shows like "The Grand Tour," as well as other Amazon original series like "The Man in the High Castle," "Transparent," "Mozart in the Jungle" and "Tumble Leaf." The content will be available in English, with options for subtitled and dubbed versions in French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
Current Amazon Prime members in Belgium, Canada, France, India, Italy and Spain can begin using the service at no additional cost, while the other new Prime Video territories can sign up for $2.99 per month for the first six months, starting with a free seven-day trial.
After Amazon's investment in original Indian content, India Prime members will now have access to new release Bollywood and regional Indian movies, as well as Hollywood movies and day-after-broadcast U.S. TV shows.
