Southern Power acquires 102-MW Texas solar facility

RES AmericaDevelopments has sold its 102-MW Lamesa solar facility to under undisclosedterms.

RES will continue developing the 887-acre facility in DawsonCounty, Texas, which will sell its output to the city of Garland,Texas, under a 15-year agreement once operational by mid-year 2017, accordingto a July 7 news release from Southern Power.

SouthernPower, a Southern Co.subsidiary, also recentlyacquired a controlling interest in the in KingsCounty, Calif.
