Allstate logs pretax cat losses of $33M in November

Allstate Corp. recorded an estimated $33 million in pretax catastrophe losses, or $26 million after tax, for the month of November.

The losses stemmed from four events that had a cumulative estimated pretax cost of $19 million, or $15 million after tax, plus unfavorable reserve reestimates of prior-period catastrophe losses.

Estimated catastrophe losses for October and November totaled a combined $270 million, pretax, or $213 million after tax.
