MeetMe topped the list of new media companies with thelargest increases in short interest in the first half of September.
The percentage of the company's shares held short relative toshares outstanding rose 449 basis points to 17.60% as of Sept. 15. Thatfollowed a gain of658 basis points between Aug. 15 and Aug. 31.
Pandora MediaInc. had the greatest decrease in short interest relative to sharesoutstanding among SNL Kagan-covered new media companies between Aug. 31 andSept. 15. The company saw short interest drop 73 basis points to 20.96% ofshares outstanding at the end of the period.
WayfairInc. topped the list of most shorted new media companies for theperiod as its short interest grew 141 basis points to 25.31% of sharesoutstanding.
