Banco Central do Brasil has appointed Mauricio Costa de Moura and Paulo Sérgio Neves de Souza as directors, according to a presidential order published Aug. 11 in the country's official gazette.
Souza, head of the banking supervision department, is set to replace Anthero Meirelles as director of supervision, while Moura, chief of staff of the governor's office, would take Luiz Feltrim's place as director of administration, Reuters reported separately, citing an official statement.
Both directors, who have been with the entity for more than a decade, had asked to step down from their posts.
The nominations are still pending approval by the Senate.
