Peru'sstate-owned Banco de la Nacióninaugurated July 7 its new headquarters in Lima's San Borja district, which is expectedto improve the bank's efficiency and reduce its operating costs, the bank said ina press release.
Peru'sPresident, Ollanta Humala, attended the ceremony along with the bank's executivepresident, Arturo Villanueva Lama, among other government authorities and executives.
The newbuilding, with 30 floors, is the tallest building in Peru and the first public smartbuilding in the country, the bank said.
Bancode la Nación has more than 627 branches in Peru and around 4,400 employees.
