Revised ACA enrollment drops to 8.7 million

The number of people enrolled in Affordable Care Act plans for the 2018 year has dropped to 8.7 million from the previously reported 8.8 million, according to the latest enrollment figures, Reuters reported.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services last week said that about 8.8 million people had signed up for the plans. The revised 8.7 million figure is due to late cancellations, CMS said.

CMS will issue a final report in March 2018, Reuters reported.
