Nielsen to credit content distributed on Facebook, Hulu, YouTube

Nielsen Holdings will start crediting video content distributed on Facebook Inc.'s social networking website, Hulu LLC's video platform and Google Inc.'s YouTube in its Digital Content Ratings.

Nielsen noted Aug. 15 that publisher clients now will be able to receive credit for video distributed on Facebook and YouTube in its Digital Content Ratings. Hulu, meanwhile, will be providing select media partners with credit for current series content distributed on the platform, with data evaluation set to begin this month.

Hulu's content owners include Walt Disney Co., 21st Century Fox Inc., Comcast Corp.'s NBCUniversal Media LLC and Time Warner Inc.

Google is owned by Alphabet Inc.
