U.S. Steel Corp. on June 1 announced several changes to its operations-focused executive leadership, effective immediately.

The Vice President of Finance Pipasu Soni will serve as interim CFO, after David Burritt vacated the role upon his recent appointment as president and CEO.

The company Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer Christine Breves will also take on the role of senior vice president of supply chain and manufacturing support.

Scott Buckiso, currently vice president of European solutions, will advance to senior vice president of European solutions.

Additionally, Barry Melnkovic was named vice president and chief human resources officer.
