WSFS Financial chairman steps down

Marvin Schoenhals decided to step down as chairman of WSFS Financial Corp. and WSFS Bank, effective July 31. But he will remain a director of the boards of both organizations. President and CEO Mark Turner takes over as chairman of both the company and the bank and will continue to hold his positions on top of the chairmanship.

The Wilmington, Del.-based company also promoted its chief corporate development officer, Rodger Levenson, to executive vice president and COO, also effective July 31.

Levenson joined the company in 2006 as executive vice president of commercial banking, and has served as chief commercial banking officer and interim CFO prior to being chief corporate development officer.
