LG Electronics USA unveils artificial intelligence brand ThinQ

LG Electronics Inc.'s U.S. division on Dec. 19 introduced ThinQ, a new brand to identify its 2018 products, ranging from home appliances to consumer electronics, that use artificial intelligence.

Products under the ThinQ brand will be able to employ deep learning and communicate with one another using a variety of AI technologies and DeepThinQ, LG's own AI technology, according to the release.

LG's AI lab in Seoul, which opened in June, has since developed intelligent refrigerators, washers and robot vacuums, as well as a space-learning air conditioner.
