Holiday Entertainment Q3 profit climbs 19.1% YOY

Holiday Entertainment Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the third quarter came to NT$1.06 per share, an increase of 19.1% from 89 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$155.8 million, an increase of 19.1% from NT$130.8 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 20.3% from 16.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 5.5% on an annual basis to NT$766.5 million from NT$811.0 million, and total operating expenses declined year over year to NT$631.3 million from NT$663.4 million.

Reported net income increased 23.1% from the prior-year period to NT$219.5 million, or NT$1.49 per share, from NT$178.3 million, or NT$1.21 per share.
