Target expands next-day essentials delivery service across US

Big-box retailer Target Corp. said May 15 that Target Restock, its next-day delivery service of household essentials, is now available across the United States.

The service is free for Target Redcard purchases and costs $2.99 for all others. There is no membership fee.

Customers can place an order for a box weighing up to 45 pounds as late as 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and the retailer will deliver the items the next day. They can place orders for products such as paper towels, baby food, peanut butter and laundry detergent.

The retailer said it recently launched a voice-activated experience for Target Restock, which allows customers to place the order through Google Home or a smartphone with the Google Assistant app.

The Minnesota-based general merchandiser is also expanding its free two-day delivery service and Shipt same-day delivery service, in addition to Drive UP, a curbside pickup program.
