Agricultural Bank of China Ltd. increased its registered capital to 349.98 billion yuan after raising 100 billion yuan via a private placement of A shares.

The move has received regulatory approval.

The lender issued 25,188,916,873 China-listed shares at 3.97 yuan apiece in the nonpublic offering.

As of Oct. 5, US$1 was equivalent to 6.87 Chinese yuan.
