Hiraki fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Hiraki Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥47.13 per share, a decline of 18.0% from ¥57.51 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥230.0 million, a decline of 18.0% from ¥280.6 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 4.6% from 5.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 8.3% on an annual basis to ¥5.01 billion from ¥5.46 billion, and total operating expenses decreased 7.3% from the prior-year period to ¥4.66 billion from ¥5.03 billion.

Reported net income declined 5.3% from the prior-year period to ¥230.0 million, or ¥47.13 per share, from ¥243.0 million, or ¥49.80 per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.90.
