PartnerReLtd. has appointed Marcos Fugise head of PartnerRe Brazil andrepresentative of PartnerRe's office in São Paulo, pending regulatory approval.

He succeeds outgoing head of PartnerRe Brazil, David Preti, effectiveSept. 21. Preti has requested to return to Europe for personal reasons.

Fugise comes to PartnerRe from , wherehe was statutory director of AIG Reinsurance Brazil SA.
