Banco Centroamericano de Integración Económica, or CABEI, has opened a new regional office in Panama.
The office is part of CABEI's strategy aimed at channeling resources for the development of different sectors of the Panamanian economy and the region, the bank's Executive President Nick Rischbieth said.
Panama has been a CABEI member country since November 2006 and was listed as a non-founding regional member following a share capital increase in 2016. Historically, CABEI has granted Panama resources amounting to about $880 million.
