Washington, Oregon and Washington, D.C., accepted the nationwide public-safety broadband network deployment plan offered by the First Responder Network Authority and AT&T Inc.

AT&T, in a public-private partnership with the First Responder Network Authority, or FirstNet, is offering a wireless broadband communications network for the states' public safety communities, the company said Dec. 27.

Delaware, Massachusetts, North Dakota and Connecticut recently joined FirstNet.
