Becton Dickinson extends tender offer deadline for Bard notes

Becton Dickinson and Co. extended the expiry date of previously announced exchange offers and consent solicitations related to C. R. Bard Inc. notes to Dec. 27 from Dec. 21.

As of Dec. 21 86.49% of principal amounts of Bard's 4.40% notes due 2021; 91.46% of 6.70% notes due 2026; and 93.98% of 3.00% notes due 2026 had been validly tendered and not withdrawn.

The exchange is a part of Becton Dickinson's acquisition of Bard, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2017.
