Unitil seeking $6.3M rate increase in New Hampshire

Unitil Energy Systems Inc. has filed with the New HampshirePublic Utilities Commission to increase its base electric rates by 3.6%, accordingto an April 29 news release.

The Unitil Corp.subsidiary hopes to recoverinvestments on its electric distribution system and operations with the help ofthe $6.3 million increase.

If approved, residential customers will pay an additional $5.27on monthly bills assuming 600 kWh of electricity consumed. Case proceedings areexpected to last up to a year. (DE 16-384)
