Berkshire Hathaway Energy affiliate to take stake in W.Va. wind project

An affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway Energy is seeking approval from FERCto acquire 100% of the class A passive tax equity membership interests in theplanned 102.5-MW NewCreek wind facility in Grant County, W. Va.

The under-construction facility by Enbridge Inc. is expected to reach commercial operationby late December. Salesforce.comInc. holds a long-term power purchase for 40-MW of the facility.

The applicant asked FERC to approve the deal by Nov. 21,according to an Oct. 7 application. (EC17-7)
