FERC clears Exelon's internal transfer of Fitzpatrick nuclear facility

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission authorized Exelon Generation Co. LLC to transfer the direct ownership of the James A. FitzPatrick nuclear power facility and related assets to its Exelon Fitzpatrick LLC subsidiary.

The Exelon Corp. subsidiary will transfer the assets under an internal restructuring transaction, according to an Oct. 13 FERC order. (FERC docket EC17-142)

Exelon Generation had acquired the 837-MW facility in Oswego County, N.Y., from Entergy Corp. in March.
