Amazon.com Inc. is set to open its first customer service center in Colombia in October, The City Paper (Bogotá) reported Aug. 14, citing a company announcement.
The U.S. e-commerce giant will set up the facility in Connecta Business Center near the El Dorado airport, the newspaper said. Amazon plans to hire 600 workers by the end of 2018, with roles ranging from customer service to administration.
The new facility will serve customers in Spanish, English and Portuguese, according to the report.
