Tri Global Energy to expand into Nebraska with 100-MW wind project

Tri Global Energy LLC is planning to construct the 100-MW Sugar Loaf wind farm in Nebraska, which the company said is its first wind project outside of Texas.

The project is expected to boost the company's national wind capacity to more than 2,900 MW, according to an Aug. 9 news release.

In May 2016, Tri Global Energy announced it had started construction of the first phase of the 197.6-MW Bearkat wind project in Texas. Its current projects, some of which were developed and then sold, are mainly in the Texas Panhandle, accessible to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas and/or Southwest Power Pool markets.
