Class action lawsuit against Uranium Energy thrown out of court

The United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas dismissed the previously reported securities class action lawsuit against Uranium Energy Corp., the company said Sept. 29.

Goldberg Law PC filed a class action lawsuit against the uranium explorer in July 2015 on behalf of the company's shareholders, alleging violations of federal securities laws.

The court dismissed the action in its entirety with prejudice to the plaintiffs, without any payment required by the company.

Uranium Energy added that, on Sept. 26, the United States Court of Appeals dismissed the plaintiffs' appeal of the decision following the plaintiffs' request for voluntary dismissal, rendering the decision final.
