Mc Group Q4 profit climbs 27.2% YOY

Mc Group Public Company Ltd said its fourth-quarter normalized net income came to 21 satang per share, a gain of 27.2% from 16 satang per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 166.7 million baht, a gain of 27.2% from 131.0 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 12.8% from 12.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 24.2% year over year to 1.30 billion baht from 1.05 billion baht, and total operating expenses increased 23.2% year over year to 1.04 billion baht from 840.7 million baht.

Reported net income rose 27.9% from the prior-year period to 249.9 million baht, or 31 satang per share, from 195.4 million baht, or 24 satang per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 60 satang per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 87 satang.

EPS was 60 satang in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 482.1 million baht, compared with 483.3 million baht in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew 12.2% on an annual basis to 3.93 billion baht from 3.50 billion baht, and total operating expenses rose 15.7% on an annual basis to 3.16 billion baht from 2.73 billion baht.

The company said reported net income increased on an annual basis to 732.0 million baht, or 92 satang per share, in the full year, from 711.6 million baht, or 89 satang per share.

As of Feb. 25, US$1 was equivalent to 35.66 baht.
