Eagle Nice (International) Holdings fiscal H1 profit climbs 49.3% YOY

Eagle Nice (International) Holdings Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30 amounted to 11 Hong Kong cents per share, a gain of 49.3% from 7 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was HK$54.1 million, an increase of 49.3% from HK$36.2 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue grew year over year to HK$885.3 million from HK$867.9 million, and total operating expenses fell on an annual basis to HK$792.8 million from HK$809.2 million.

Reported net income increased 50.9% from the prior-year period to HK$63.7 million, or 13 cents per share, from HK$42.2 million, or 8 cents per share.
