PJSC Alrosa generated US$17 million in revenue from the sale of 121 gem-quality diamonds totaling 2,000 carats, it said July 4.
The special-size rough diamonds, each weighing over 10.8 carats, were sold at an international auction in Vladivostok, Russia, held from June 18 to June 29.
The first auction this year held in May returned revenue of US$14.8 million, and the company plans to hold two more auctions this year in Vladivostok, in September and November.
The company's 2017 diamond sales at tenders and auctions in Vladivostok exceeded US$70 million. A recent auction in Hong Kong fetched around US$10.4 million from sales of 100 gem-quality lots weighing a total of 1,550 carats.
