Balfour Beatty secures £193M contract to build Miami mixed-use project

Balfour Beatty secured a roughly £193 million contract to construct the River Landing Shops and Residences project in Miami for H&R Real Estate Investment Trust and Urbanx Co. in association with Matthews Southwest.

The project will offer more than 2 million square feet of retail and residences in Miami's Civic Center, including two residential buildings which will offer 475 rental apartments, and a five-story shopping center.

Groundbreaking is expected in late 2017, with completion slated for the fourth quarter of 2019.
