Sempra to develop 2 Mexico solar projects

Sempra Energyunit Infraestructura EnergeticaNova SAB de CV, or IEnova, won its first two solar energy projectsfrom Mexico's Centro Nacional de Control de Energía's recent auction.

The projects represent an investment of about $150 million,according to a Sept. 29 news release.

IEnova expects construction of the 41-MW AC Rumorosa and the100-MW AC Tepezalá solar facilities to begin in 2018, with commissioning in thefirst half of 2019. Upon completion, the facilities will sell their output tothe Comisión Federal deElectricidad under a 15-year renewable energy and capacityagreement and a 20-year clean energy certificate agreement.

IEnova is also in the process of the Ventika I and Ventika IIwind farms in the state of Nuevo León, Mexico from a affiliate.
