Bangor Savings-Granite Bank deal secures requisite approvals

Shareholders of First Colebrook Bancorp Inc. have approved the merger of Colebrook, N.H.-based subsidiary Granite Bank into Bangor Savings Bank of Bangor, Maine.

The deal has also already secured approval by Maine's Bureau of Financial Institutions, the New Hampshire Banking Department and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. The Federal Reserve has granted a waiver of application. No vote by Bangor Bancorp MHC's corporators was required.

The deal is now expected to close April 6.
