TRISEDCO Q3 profit climbs YOY

Travel Investment & Seafood Development Corp. said its normalized net income for the third quarter was 146.16 dong per share, a gain of 96.3% from 74.44 dong per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 6.40 billion dong, an increase from 1.28 billion dong in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 4.4% from 1.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 67.7% on an annual basis to 145.47 billion dong from 86.76 billion dong, and total operating expenses rose 57.0% from the prior-year period to 129.91 billion dong from 82.72 billion dong.

Reported net income increased year over year to 9.29 billion dong, or 212.01 dong per share, from 1.85 billion dong, or 107.19 dong per share.

As of Nov. 16, US$1 was equivalent to 22,445 dong.
