AT&T Inc.asked California lawmakers to pass a billthat would allow the carrier to take $100 million to invest on its broadband servicein the state, according to a March 21 post on Steve Blum's Blog.
If the bill gets approved, AT&T will reportedly be requiredto provide a DSL service of 10 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload.
The Assembly bill 2130 was rewritten by AT&T lobbyists andreintroduced in the week of March 14.
