Santander Mexico files automatic shelf in US

Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico SAB de CV on Dec. 21 filed an automatic shelf registration with the U.S. SEC to sell an unspecified amount of contingent convertible securities.

The Mexican bank said that it might sell the securities, which could be converted to series B shares or American Depository Shares, from time to time in one or more offerings.
