Aon sees 3% organic revenue growth in Q2

Aon Plc reported second-quarter net income attributable to shareholders of $769 million, or $2.93 per share, compared to $300 million, or $1.11 per share, in the year-ago quarter.

Adjusted net income attributable to shareholders was $404 million, or $1.53 per share, versus $404 million, or $1.50 per share, in the prior-year period.

The S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate for the quarter was $1.44.

Total revenue stood at $2.37 billion in the most recent quarter, up from $2.28 billion in the prior-year quarter. Total organic revenue increased 3% compared to the prior year period, reflecting growth across every major revenue line and highlighted by strong growth in reinsurance solutions and health solutions, Aon said.

The company repurchased 8 million class A ordinary shares during the quarter for approximately $1 billion. As of June 30, Aon had $6.7 billion of remaining authorization under its share repurchase program.
