Chubu Suisan Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was ¥12.91 per share, an increase of 33.6% from ¥9.66 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥23.1 million, an increase of 32.1% from ¥17.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 0.2% from 0.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥10.20 billion from ¥9.82 billion, and total operating expenses grew year over year to ¥10.19 billion from ¥9.81 billion.
Reported net income increased 35.3% year over year to ¥23.0 million, or ¥12.84 per share, from ¥17.0 million, or ¥9.39 per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
