8minutenergy Renewables to sell 90-MW Calif. solar farm

8minutenergy Renewables is seeking the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approval to sell its ownership interests in a planned 90-MW solar photovoltaic project to Springbok 3 Solar CEI LLC for undisclosed terms.

The transaction also includes a 1.5-MW battery storage project and interconnection facilities in Kern County, Calif., according to a regulatory filing.

Output of the solar farm will be sold at wholesale to Southern California Public Power Authority under a power purchase agreement with an initial term of 27 years starting from the commercial operation date of the project.

The project is expected to go online in June 2019.

FERC is requested to approve the deal by Sept. 24. (FERC docket EC18-135)
