Switzerland's UBP names head for Northern Europe region

Union Bancaire Privée UBP SA named Adrian Künzi CEO of its Zurich branch and head of its Northern Europe region, effective March 1.

Künzi takes over from Peter Schmid, who is set to join Deutsche Bank in March, finews.com reported Feb. 15. UBP noted that the Zurich branch is its second-largest operation, with CHF27 billion of assets under management.

Künzi left as Notenstein La Roche Privatbank AG's CEO four months ago after failing to bring back the struggling bank's profits, finews.com noted.
