Blackham considers upping processing capacity at Matilda/Wiluna to 3.2 Mtpa

Blackham Resources Ltd. is considering the installation of an additional 1.5 million-tonnes-per-annum crushing and grinding circuit at its Matilda/Wiluna gold operation in Western Australia in a bid to increase production to over 200,000 ounces per year.

The company's total mineral resources at the operation increased to 63 million tonnes at 3.2 g/t of gold for 6.4 million ounces contained after the estimate was updated for a number of deposits located within a 20-kilometer radius of the Wiluna gold plant.

The new circuit, in addition to the recently refurbished 1.7 Mtpa oxide circuit, will increase total capacity to about 3.2 Mtpa across the oxide and sulfide circuits, according to a Jan. 23 release.
