Baby Bunting fiscal H1 profit climbs 42.7% YOY

Baby Bunting Group Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 27, 2015, amounted to 3 Australian cents per share, an increase of 21.7% from 3 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$3.6 million, a gain of 42.7% from A$2.5 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 30.3% year over year to A$108.2 million from A$83.0 million, and total operating expenses rose 29.8% year over year to A$102.2 million from A$78.7 million.

Reported net income fell 22.8% from the prior-year period to A$2.3 million, or 2 cents per share, from A$2.9 million, or 3 cents per share.
