Insurance losses from bushfires in Australia rise to A$1.41B

The Insurance Council of Australia said insurance losses from massive bushfires in the country have increased to A$1.41 billion.

Insurers have received 16,380 claims since Nov. 8, 2019, the council said in a Jan. 17 tweet. The council had previously pegged insurance losses at A$1.34 billion.
