IdealRatings Inc. launched a metric dataset offering that will cover various environmental, social and governance topics.

Environmental data includes air emissions, wastes, water and energy, while social topics include employees' health and safety, training and donations. Topics that fall under governance include board functions and shareholder statistics.

The company said its new product offering will enable it to provide more than 200 ESG elements "for a universe of more than 40,000 companies globally." The product also adds to its lineup of ESG qualitative investment solutions.

IdealRatings provides database solutions for responsible investments, aimed at financial institutions and asset managers.
